Adding a Linkwitz transform to my woofers

Hi All, I finally finished my audio rack so I could put my system back together. I was running JBL E140 15" drivers in my bass cabs but they just didn't work well. I just happen to have them on hand. I replaced them with the Lambda TD15X woofers. The cabs are 4 cu ft and very very well braced. They were 5.5 cu ft untill I braced them just to give you an idea.

I do have 4 subs in the room but they are not hooked up at the moment. Without the subs it sounded pretty darn good with solid kick bass and really sweet stand up bass. But I do listen to organ music and would like to go lower.

I tri amp going through an analog DBX active crossover. I am driving the woofers with a rebuilt Carver TFM-45 and was thinking of putting a Linkwitz transform inbetween the crossover and amp.

Is this the place to put it? Will it sound better than running the woofs as is with subs?
