Help with tonearm mod + phono stage.

Hi.

I´m rebuilding my turntable from MDF to pure bamboo. Since I´ts a new style, I thought I would start thinking in upgrades. I´m dreaming off drilling my RB251 tonearm, but where can i get a template? Then I need a structural weight upgrade, and rewire.

The most important upgrade at the moment is my phono stage. Got a cheap Pro-ject at the moment, and I´m so bored whith it.

I need somekind of complete diy phono stage kit. I´m thinking a max of about 300$. I´m a noob at shopping parts. Pretty good at soldering so i believe i can do it.
The thing is that i want a bamboo case for my phono stage.
My dream would be something with tubes but not shure my price max can do it.

Linn Classik Movie DI
Linn LK140 amp
DIY Micro seiki/Rega RB251-Ortofon red PU - TB
Crappy Pro-ject Phono stage.
FH 3 with Alpair 7

Really hope theres some ideas.

Searched the web thin, but i find it very difficult finding the phono stage for my steup.
(Because I´m a newbie that is)
