audiophile nirvana help building a system

Hello all.

Can anyone make a few suggestions to make my search for a better Hifi easier?

OK so I am looking for my audiophile nirvana and to do that I need to build the system myself as I certainly can’t afford a commercially system.
I have finally come to the unconfutable realisation that the system I have is old and sometimes sounds a bit fatiguing, especially with Jazz, so I am considering building up a DIY valve system.
So my question is can people suggest and really good DAC and CD transporter. My electronics skills are limited so an easy to assemble kit would be good
To start with I am looking for a DAC kit, been looking at the Audio Note 2.1 kit and am taken with the R2R topology. Once that’s out the way I want to start on a CD transporter that will match the DAC. I will have to go with peoples recommendations as I can audit the kit beforehand so I will be doing a lot more research
My system:
Arcam alpha 5 (Avondale audio modified)
Naim nac 72 (Avondale audio modified)
Naim nap 180 (Avondale audio modified)
Wilmslow audio centurion 3 way speakers
