Where to audition full range speakers in Chicago?

Hi all,

Very new to all this full range stuff. But seems like the way to go for dynamic, immediate sound... (Best speakers I've ever heard: Hornlautsprecher - Avantgarde Acoustic? Hornloudspeaker GMBH) Can't afford those so going the DIY route :-)

But before I get too deep, I'd love to hear some. Any advice on auditioning full range speakers in Chicago? Any hi-fi stores that carry commercial versions, just want to get an idea of what the fullrange "sound" is like...

FYI, I am intrigued by the frugelhorns and the fonkens... I'd be using them with a small SS amp (25wpc, marantz) so I gather the driver of choice is the Alpair7.

Any tips on where to hear full range speakers would be much appreciated!
