simple questions: integrating pre and power amp

Hi.

I have a couple of doubts in my thinking wrt integrating a preamplifier/active xo and power amplifier.

I plan to AC couple.

1/
Input capacitor value is calculated as an RC Highpass, based on the selected shunt R (for input impedance)

Is this correct?

2/
Volume pot is best located between the pre and power amp. Buffer following the pot, assuming a low output impedance of the preamp.

Is this correct?

I also have a question regarding the app circuits on the datasheet for LM4780. By all means tell me to read more carefully, if the answer is within the datasheet. ;)

Studying the app circuits, the mods on the Special circuit worth trying (or recalculating and trying) for use on the Parallel and/or Bridged circuits?

I.e. Changes to the feedback network, output network. Not necessarily the same values in the feedback network. (R replaced with R+ series RC shunting the R)

Like I said, if ive missed something obvious, by all means just tell me to read more closely :) I've no access to a desktop for a week and haven't a printed sheet. Its a struggle to read on my mobile phone....Oh and I'm itching to order me some Xmas goodies
