Grace F9E Cartridge Body Modification question

Just got this Grace F9 MM cartridge with the Type 1 Elliptical Stylus...I am intending to replace a Shure v15 TYPE 2 with hyper elliptical stylus and a Astatic Moving Flux MF-200 with bi-radial stylus.

My understanding is the F9 is a wonderful performing MM cartridge but I have noticed a few mods to the cartridge assembly including one here

Specifically changing the cartridge body to Ebony. Mere window dressing or worthy of undertaking for some sonic dividends?

There doesn't appear to be much objective information over at the Lenco site so I am wondering if anyone here has experimented with changing cartridge bodies to Ebony or similar material vs. stock metal or plastic housings?

Comments? Observations? Measurements?
