Questions regarding (but not limited to) full range drivers

I'm planning on building speakers for the first time, but there are some things that I find somewhat confusing, and would like to ask here for clarification.

The speaker driver specifications list the frequency response of the driver as well as the impedance curve. Now my question is, is the frequency response measured with the varying impedance (meaning whether or not the change in impedance is "balanced" by the drivers change in efficiency, and that being the frequency response presented?)

If this is the case, would then adding an impedance compensation circuit affect the frequency response?

How big of a difference does the change in impedance have in full range drivers? (Or single driver with a high pass filter) Would it just make the amplifiers work in a more varied manner?

Again if that is the case then would impedance compensating networks/circuits make more sense in multi driver designs?
